Data and AI are advancing the world at an exponential pace.
But the depth to our knowledge and the true impacts of AI algorithms on society and culture is limited.
So scientists took a deeper look and realized that AI algorithms in healthcare could predict patient race simply by looking at medical images.
AI algorithms are complex and can mirror unconscious human thoughts of racisms, bias, and prejudice.
But wait there’s more…
Even when the medical images were filtered out to be completely unrecognizable, the AI algorithm was still accurate in predicting patient race.
AI algorithms that use superhuman capabilities are difficult to control, regulate, and prevent from doing harm.
