Media General alert: Impersonation and unlawful usage of logos

1 Mins read

Management of the Media General Group has taken note of the arrest of Frank Basoah, a young man who paraded himself as journalist working with Onua FM and allegedly extorted monies from shop owners at Buduburam in the Central Region for violating the lockdown order.

We wish to state categorically that Frank Basoah is not a staff of Onua FM or any of Media General’s subsidiaries; TV3, Onua TV, 3FM, Connect FM in Tarkoradi, Akoma FM in Kumasi, www.3news.com, Adesa Production Limited and 3 Foundation.

Frank Basoah’s action is unlawful and we urge the relevant authorities to deal with him in accordance with the law.

We would also like to add that the use of logos of Media General and its subsidiaries without a written authorization from management amounts to Intellectual Property infringement and we urge members of the general public to desist from doing so.

Media General is Ghana’s leading Media Company with a vision to shape the future of Media and Entertainment in Africa by becoming the continent’s leading and most respected Media organization.

Signed
